Community Impact

We may be the shared services and support to a national highways contractor, but our ethos is to keep things local. Our head office in Horsham, West Sussex is rather partial to a "bake off" and a dress down Friday to raise money for charity. Employees can also benefit from two paid days per year to undertake volunteering opportunities with our chosen causes. We've helped to clear communal gardens, lay new footpaths and visited schools to inspire the next generation.

Dementia Friends Workshop

During this friendly and interactive session, staff increased their understanding of dementia, learnt what it is like to live with dementia and identify the small things that they can do to make a difference to people affected by dementia in their community.

Birdfarm Allotment

A group of seven volunteers from head office headed down to Bird Farm Allotment in Horsham, West Sussex to help with much needed work.

Several jobs needed to be completed, some of which had been an issue for about three years. These jobs included felting a shed roof, constructing a much-needed compost bin to help manage the allotment waste, and trimming hedges on the borders of the site to prevent damage to the fencing.

Ragnar White Cliffs Challenge

On the 22nd and 23rd September 2018, a team of ten Eurovia employees took up a huge challenge and played their part in the Reebok Ragnar White Cliffs race in support of Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice.

Each member of the team had three separate legs to run, and these legs varied in length from 2.7 miles to 10 miles. All ten members of Eurovia finished their legs successfully and ahead of schedule. The team managed to raise over £3,000.
